Smoking Cessation and Lung Screening Program

Congratulations! When you choose to quit smoking, you’ve already made an important and positive impact on your health. Smoking cessation programs through Noble Health Alliance member hospitals help you get on track and stay there without the anxiety of quitting cold turkey. Learn about the most effective ways to quit, including nicotine replacement options.

If you've already quit and are concerned about your health, Noble hospitals offer lung screenings using low-dose CT scans. These scans can detect the early onset of lung cancer or complications better than traditional X-rays.

Lung cancer is the primary cause of cancer deaths in America, with 85 percent of those deaths attributed to smoking. Get the help you need today and to live a longer, healthier life.

Am I eligible for lung screening?

Our lung screening programs can help you understand your next steps, and provide you with smoking cessation resources. You'll be eligible for lung screening if you are:

  • Between the ages of 55-74 years old and a current or former smoker, with at least 30 pack years smoking history (a “pack year” is the number of packs smoked daily multiplied by the number of years smoking)
  • A former smoker who has quit in the last 15 years

In addition, you must not have a history or any form of cancer within the last five years. A physician's order is required to schedule your lung screening.
